Music Lessons Policy & Rates

Studio of Dr. Daniel Mehdizadeh

1. Lessons are held on weekday evenings [Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays].

2. The teacher does not teach 6 days of the year: Thanksgiving Day, Halloween, Christmas (Dec 24th-26th) and New Year’s Eve (Dec 31). If your lesson falls on one of these dates, we will try to reschedule. If rescheduling is not possible, the lesson will be skipped for that week.

3. There are no refunds and no credits carried forward on unused, missed or cancelled lessons. You may not accumulate or bank missed classes or request longer or multiple rescheduled classes per week. 

4. For Permanent Students enrolled in the monthly tuition program, every fifth lesson within a five-week month is offered as a bonus session at no additional cost. This structure not only ensures consistent learning but also allows flexibility to accommodate missed classes due to holidays, illness, or other commitments for both students and instructor. 

5. Payments are due in advance on or before the first of each month. E-transfers can be sent to eastchambermusic@gmail.com (EAST CHAMBER MUSIC). 

6. Arriving late to your lesson: extra time may or may not be granted. 

7. Parents are welcome and encouraged to sit in throughout the class. 

8. If you are sick or need to reschedule your lesson (for whatever reason), I will do my best to accommodate, this is however dependent on and limited to schedule availability throughout the weekday. 

9. If you are not feeling well and may be contagious to others, please reschedule your lesson (or skip the week). If you or someone in your household has COVID, please stay home. The teacher reserves the right to not teach a student who is sick/contagious.

10. Extended leave from the studio does not guarantee your spot upon return. If you decide to stop or pause lessons, no refunds are given on remaining classes. 

Monthly Tuition for Permanent Student status: Features include guaranteed weekly spot throughout the year, flexible rescheduling (upon availability), and one complimentary lesson on 5-week months:

• 60-minute lessons: $300

• 45-minute lessons: $240

• 30-minute lessons: $180

**********If you're traveling, partially away, or attending just a few classes per semester (such as composition students with infrequent meetings), you can choose the Pay-As-You-Go plan. Just remember to review the limitations below**********

Pay-As-You-Go: Enrol in the Pay-As-You-Go plan, where you select the number of lessons you'll attend each month and pay accordingly. Payments should be made at the start of the month. Please note that your weekly slot isn't guaranteed and may be assigned to a permanent student if necessary. A minimum 48-hour notice for rescheduling is required (rescheduling upon availability), and unused lessons cannot be carried over to the following month. No refunds or credits will be provided for missed lessons:

• (x1) 60-minute lesson: $75

• (x1) 45-minute lesson: $60

• (x1) 30-minute lesson: $45
